About Airpower International

Airpower International (API), formed in 2004 by Mike Patlin and Dan Canin, specializes in locating and importing high performance and specialty aircraft for the U.S. market. The owners' enthusiasm for the Siai-Marchetti SF-260 and their close relationship with its manufacturer, Aermacchi, and the SF-260 community, has led them initially to focus on this aircraft as their core business. In November of 2004, Airpower was granted exclusive rights by Aermacchi for the import and sale of fifteen SF-260 aircraft operated by the Italian Air Force (IAF). The following year, API submitted the winning bid to the Irish Air Corps (IAC) for their inventory of six SF-260's and an extensive parts inventory. Dan Canin

Dan is a former Naval Aviator, Navy Test Pilot, and Navy Test Pilot School instructor, currently employed as an experimental test pilot with the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. After spending 7 years at Lockheed's Skunkworks in Palmdale, CA, Dan moved to Fort Worth, TX, where he's been working on various F-16 projects including the F-16E/F. In his 25+ years of flying, Dan has acquired 5000+ flight hours in more than 80 different type aircraft, including 30 different types of tactical jets. He has been an SF-260 owner for more than 10 years and considers it to be among the finest light aircraft he has ever flown.

Mike Patlin

Mike is founder and president of Airpower International’s sister company, Airpower Aviation Resources (www.airpower-aviation.com), which specializes in providing aircraft and consulting services to the television and movie industry. Additionally, Mike is the exclusive North American representative for Aermacchi SpA, the manufacturer of the Siai-Marchetti SF-260.
